Saute one large white onion until golden brown with some butter and olive oil, s & p to taste, a few pinches of brown sugar. Saute 20-25 minutes on medium heat until caramelized. Add 6 ounces softened cream cheese into a mixing bowl, 1/2 cup cold sour cream, one minced clove of garlic, onions, stir super well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Wonderful with a cracker assortment or fresh cut veggies.
